VICTORIA DUMENG
Writer and Illustrator

Hey there! My name is Victoria, the artist/writer/creative behind Stories by Toria.

My journey as a creative started back in 2013 with a B.F.A. in Illustration, but a career in art had become naught but a dream buried under limiting beliefs, seemingly forever (you can read more about this elsewhere, if you'd like). However, when Covid hit, I apprehensively picked up the metaphorical shovel to reconnect with art, and I was able to nurture a renewed mindset and passion towards creating.

I am now actively enjoying character design and storytelling, and I hope to bring at least one or two original stories to life in visual and/or written form. I enjoy both fanart and original work, so you'll be able to find both throughout my website!

My preferred genres are Action/Adventure, Fantasy, and Romance, and you can read some of my major inspirations in my About page or my social blogs on Patreon and Ko-Fi!

My Very First Artist's Alley!

I will be vending at my very first Artist Alley this summer 2025!

I am planning to share my thoughts and progress as I prepare for it, so if that's something you're interested in, make sure to Follow Me on my Ko-Fi page and/or Instagram!

Behold: my first sketched draft of the table display!

Current Projects

The following are personal projects that are in development with the hope that they may one day become visual novels, written novels, webcomics, etc!

The Maverick Project

Arlo the Artisan

The Rune Project

An enemies to lovers story about childhood friends that are torn apart by their opposing practices - mavericks, who master the arcane, and warriors, who defend the kingdom with their physical prowess.

After years of no contact, the friends-turned-enemies are forced to work together to complete a mission that they can’t refuse. Now they must navigate a ruined friendship, buried feelings, and their respective weaknesses if they're going to protect the arcane and their home kingdom.

Arlo was born from a writing commission in which I helped to conceptualize a character and world for a Kickstarter TTRPG. While the introductive narrative and character writing I provided left Arlo's world pretty open-ended for the TTRPG players, I definitely see myself exploring Arlo and his world through sketches and snippets of writing. Not sure if this will turn into a full-fledged story, but I'm thinking at least an anthology of sorts.

If you're interested in the idea of a solo-play, graffiti-inspired TTRPG (or finding out more about Arlo), make sure to check out the link below for MxFraud's Notorious Style TTRPG Kickstarter!

A project that started in college and has transformed tremendously since then. This project feels very important to me, and, despite it being my first, I've decided to give it an ample amount of time to come into itself.

In general, I imagine it set in a post-apocalyptic world and is likely to serve as an exploration of relationships, society, and the idea of "value" and choices. This may change as it grows, of course, but I'm excited to see where it goes.
